Edward G Robinson was born in Romania. But this isn't the only reason why he was so loved and highly appreciated in my country. He was was a great actor and I can hardly wait to watch this movie. I am just coming up 70 on the 24th and I can just only remember Edward G Robinson. I recall my mom telling me he was born in Romania and later became a US citizen. He was not very tall, was he, short for a male film star. Nevertheless an outstanding actor❤.

Robinson sometimes gets a bad rap as an actor. Despite the gangster films, he could play in a wide range of genres in movies and was pretty good at all of them. His comedy work is quite good when he pokes fun at himself and his image, and he plays a good guy equally as well as he plays a villain.

Wonderful film, I've watched it dozens of times. I highly recommend watching it in original black and white. I won't be watching a colourized version.

What a fantastic movie w/all the right actors/actresses. I felt as if i was there w/them. Edward G. Robinson always does a stellar job in every role he plays. I was so caught up in every scene that I became Meg.
