Thanks for checking out this video on AJATT 15 Month Update Progress Report | 15 Months Learning Japanese With Immersion.

This is just another update with not much happening since last month, despite being back into the full swing of things and everything improving in some way or another.

In this video, I wanted to focus on a mistake I've been making and talk about why you should avoid making the same one if you want your Japanese learning journey to be more fun and less of a grind.

Questions below

For my micro-updates!

@5:10 I know the pain. Often Migaku tells me I know every word in a sentence but comprehending the grammar structure is just completely lost on me. Enjoying these updates!

I've been studying japanese for around 2 years now, the first year wasn't as productive. This year I decided to use anki and I have finished the core 2k and mined around 500 words. Not a lot compared to you, but we'll all get there eventually. I am gonna go study to a japanese language school this January for a year, if you're down we can get some beers down

quick question: how has your reading evolved overall? as in do you read descriptions etc. on instagram easily or struggle with them a bit?

Would love to see how it goes with you in Japan with reading everything + of course the book

10, 000 words is crazy to me I will be at about 2.500 words at 18 months. I take 5-6 new cars per day and even that feels overwhelming. My listening is way better then my reading so I still struggle with anki reviews. 200 cards per day takes me about an hour I could not do 500 cards per day that would be my entire study time.

I am also at 1% relearning cards. Seems a bit odd you have zero that means you have not forgotten any words at all. Do you actually use the again button?

For me if I dont know the meaning and the pronounciation/reading like physically speaking it, I hit again. even if when I turn the card I remember them both
