Hair transplant is a procedure where we extract the roots and transplant to the recipient areas. So during the procedure you will not have any pain. After few hours the numbness of the skin goes away because of which the pain will start. We will prescribe you pain killer tablets and antinflammatory tablets to reduce the pain which is there. Normally any small prick is the in the skin also there will be pain. Similarly some pain can be exercised which can be managed in most of the times. Some of them who are more pain sensitive can get pain. Accordingly we suggest medicines to reduce the pain. In the first 1 to 2 days there will be some pain in the donor area. The area where we have transplanted, where we have removed the roots in that areas there can be some pain. So we have to take care of it and keep the dressing and the next day you have to clean and apply ointment. For 1 to 2 days you will have some pain which is manageable who some medications and you can continue working from next day after transplant also. It is not severely painful, it is manageable. If any queries are there then we are ready to help you. Rarely people experience pain for few months also which is not a pain but a sensation because of loss of anesthesia or loss of anesthesia to the newly transplanted area which is not pain but a dull sensation for which you will not require any medications.

It’s my second week after operation and still feel the numbing . The doctor is right, is not like you are in pain. The numbing has been going off gradually and realistically I see it taking about two more weeks .
