Got my braces 14 hours ago. My first two meals were pasta. How did I chew them? I didn’t. I swallowed two full meals of pasta. My 4x strength medicated orajel only lasts two minutes. I only got a wire on my bottom teeth, and on my top teeth my ortho screwed up the brackets and one is overlapping on my gums, the others are slid up. Medication isn’t working, and this is the worst thing that has happened to me since... everything.

A lot of people say it hurts a lot; I got mine a mounth ago, and it was uncomfortable only the first 4 days, but it was totally bearable, nothing too bad, I couldn't even call it pain, it was just a constant annoying pressure, the day 5 I stoped feeling it.That's all.The rest of trays I don't feel any pain, only pressure the first 10 minutes, but again, nothing bad.

I can confirm getting braces doesn't hurt and you'll most likely just feel uncomfortable but after a few hours is when it really starts going down.

Okay, This is from my experience. None of us are wrong. You may be in pain while others aren't.

I thought I'd clear some things up since apparently I wasn't being vague enough. First of all, pain *varies.* This means it could be very painful for some people and not to others. It all depends on your teeth and how much you can handle pain. The reason why you're experiencing pain is because your teeth are shifting. So, if your teeth aren't shifting too much then your pain won't be as bad. Now, some people have teeth that have huge gaps or are pushed to the side; that's going to be painful. Imagine having your teeth move more than an inch, it's going to hurt. So to those saying we're all wimps, we're not. You're just lucky to either be able to handle pain or not have to go through as much pain. Once again, pain varies for everyone. Hopefully this helps those who are confused. After all, it's like opinions; everyone's is different.

I got my braces 2 days ago . I only got my top done . The day I got braces I didn’t feel much pain it was more pressure. I went to McDonald’s and order a Big Mac and fries so if you just got your braces and they don’t hurt eat eat Later that day i took a ibuprofen because I knew it might hurt later . The next day I woke up and the pain was a 6/10 it wasn’t that bad . I brush my teeth and then took a ibuprofen. That whole day I took 4 ibuprofen . I have a low pain tolerance so it’s not as bad as it seems .I’m currently on the third day and I still have pain which is a 6/10 it mainly hurts in my front teeth .
