A lot of people in the comments just aren't getting it.

Not all Jewish people are rich and privileged and that is infact a harmful stereotypes and one that a very evil man in history used to justify the slaughter of millions of people.

I and a lot of other Jewish people and their families come from regular working class backgrounds. There are a lot of rich Jewish people but there are also a lot of rich Arabs, Christians, atheists etc etc but nobody else receives the hate Jewish people get about being rich on the scale of any other culture from my experience.

There needs to be a huge shift in attitudes. I see so many minorities talked about and educating series on their cultures but it's almost as if it's taboo to talk about the Jewish community and I'm sick of the Jewish community being ignored.

Id love to see more series on TV or Netflix or whatever about the modern day Jewish people "a week/day in the life" or whatever because there is so SO much ignorance surrounding Jewish people and not enough shows or books to actually learn about them. Yes we all see the horrific history of Jewish people in world war 2 but asides from that there is nothing. I'd love to see more of the media address this.

I think this book is a fantastic concept. I haven't read it yet but it's definitely on my list.

Certainly fills a nook in an era where society has disintegrated into this fiercely contested battleground upon which “communities” compete to win the persecution complex award of the year. Jews, Blacks, Muslims, Gypsies, Gays, the Whites/White males, Eastern Europeans, women. Everybody & their dog is involved in the sweepstakes so here comes David with his ambassadorial two cents..and I’m a fan of this guy’s work in general, he has produced some outstanding content, from my family not the sitcom to the Death of Eli Gold, decent bits of radio etc but I’m going to give this one a miss. Not that there aren't some worrisome biases and unique dangers (even) posed to the Jewish community but rather because in my spare time I’d rather not indulge in a complaints chorus..life is tough, and unpleasantness for most minorities is a given ..my sympathies go out to each & all, but I’m not particularly inclined to hearing every lip-quivering detail..I’d rather just enjoy some art/a good novel/music rather than indulge in the classical neo-leftist's idea of a good time - pat yourself on the back for investing into the injustices of other people. Furthered by a license to become irate with those that are not pulling their weight in that department. Not for me.

David makes an important observation- but instead of reaching the correct conclusion that all identity politics is toxic and genocidal when taken to its logical conclusion- he decides that joining in the game of warring groups against each other is the solution- and just fights for his own group. Bizarre.

Given the horrendous genocidal onslaught by Israel in Gaza since October 2023, I do hope that the boy Baddiel is planning a follow-up to his book, "Jews Don't Count" - "Palestinians Don't Count", perhaps?

I'm a 60 year old Ashkenazi Jew. Why is it I don't feel oppressed by racism or antisemitism the way that David Baddiel does? The last time I honestly experienced any antisemitism was in the 1970s when I was at school.
