@bennybarbking did you have to turn off the water to the house or tub before removing the stem? I have the exact same setup in my shower/tub but I’m afraid to unthread the stems and water come gushing out or down into the wall behind the tile.

I have what looks the same type, but this one doesn’t look like a seat was replaced by whoever changed the valve before. It looks like there is no seat. Should all have a seat?

The knob screw is very hard to remove. Been there several decades with hard water deposits. Almost stripped it out. I’ve sprayed wd 40 and will let sit for a while. I’ve also heated with heat gun and it’s not moving . Try vinegar to remove those deposits??

i love the video. i have an old time bath/shower faucet. if i go to Lowe's, or Home Depot, i would not be able to find a replacement. The ones at those stores are too narrow for my pipes. A plumber would need to redo the whole pipe system in the wall where the faucet is. I wanna find a new, or somewhat new, faucet to put in there. I would appreciate a reply with a supply house where i can find one.

I would have cleaned it up before calling a plumber. Thats gross
