Looking at Alexei Smirnov's screen characters, I would never have thought he was a WWII hero. The same with Yuri Nikulin and the director Leonid Gaidai. People of that time did not have a simple fate. And neither are we. But they lived and worked to establish peace on Earth, and we took a wrong turn again.
