Autosomal Recessive Inheritance

Hallie discusses one form of genetic inheritance in which a person with a mutation in both copies of a gene has the condition. When only one copy of the gene has a mutation, the individual is a carrier. Individuals with autosomal recessive conditions often inherit one mutation from each healthy parent (carriers) and often do not have a family history of the condition.
