Get the Viltrox 75, absolutely fantastic image quality.

That is an intriguing lens. This is actually a focal range that is missing from my prime lenses for the a6400. And that crazy fast aperture adds a lot of value. At the time of you posting this video, it is currently on sale in all colors for $319 in the US. I may have to grab one of these and try it out. Thank you for the outstanding review.

Interesting that you have it on the A5100 as I had it on that for a while too to make a super light combo. Interestingly that combo weight works out as one of the highest scoring entrance pupil per kilogram I have ever seen (88:1), beating the Samyang 75/1.8 by a bit. For bokeh panos this lens is one of my favourites now and I have always advocated for full frame until now. I cannot believe the price of this thing!

Great review. Thanks! 🤗People really need a comparison review of this lens vs the Viltrox 75/1.2.

Better go with the Viltrox 75mm f/1.2. Excelent sharpnes at f/1.2, no Color Fringing and very good resistant of Flaring. In all Way`s the better Choice. Greets from Germany.

Thanks so much Chris 👍. Looks great in that colour on the white Sony body too 👌

Would love to see a comparison of the 75s (including my personal favourite the Samyang) although there’s a bit of me that’s tempted by the f1.2

thank you sir for showing on A5100, not everybody had high-end camera 🙂

I've just attached this onto my Sony ZV-E10 camera but the screen displays f/1.4 instead of f/1.2 😰 I wish this lens has an aperture ring ..

Stormtrooper Glossy White is a bold color choice, but it suits the white Sony A5100. Doubt that it will stand the test of time, though. Elegant but ephemeral.

A really nice lower cost option. It seems like if a longish portrait lens is your thing though it might be worth spending more on the Viltrox.

Hi Chris, love your reviews, thanks for a great channel! I just wanted to ask a general question about testing autofocus lenses, do you carry out any micro adjustment of the lenses before doing the chart tests? Thanks.

Will remain very content with my Sigma 56 1.4.

you called a 75mm on aps-c a "wide angle" lens 0:44 :D :D

I’ve been looking for 50 to 85mm x mount af primes that work well for video. So many 3rd party options

Not bad if you can get that one cheap, but what's the point when there's the incredible Viltrox 75 available ?

“Wide angle” just confirmed that the voice is not Ai-generated😂

This is probably the first or second lens I would have bought if I were a crop guy.

This is good enough for me. Thank you, Chris... I won't pay more for the viltrox...

A comparison of Sirui 75 1.2 with Viltrox 75 1.2 would be helpful.
The AF on the Viltrox isn't supposed to be that good for moving subjects. How does AF compare between Sirui / Viltrox. Especially when people/animals move towards the camera.
A sharpness comparison at 1.8 or 2.0 would be enough for me
