In reality, most Africans would not be alive do to a lack of access to medicine and infrastructure, Africa would be even more violent with tribes still conquering eachother daily, Europe would be richer as with the exception of a few areas the Europeans spent more in Africa then they got.

When the Europeans started the colonisation of west Africa they were hundreds of years ahead in technology and development. I would argue the Romans from 2’000 years ago were ahead with their technology.

Funny how saying Africa would be more developed. Africa was already behind even before colonialism except for Northern Africa. The rest of Africa would still be in tribes or in tiny countries that still uses the bow and arrow like Ethiopia. They tried to use it against Italian tanks just before WW2.

As a black South African i doubt that South Africa whould be where it is today without European interventions. For instance it wasnt black south africans who made SA an industrialized nation. Second of all we never created better infrastructure, proper Healthcare, schools etc. And lastly we would have seen more tribal warfare being done, For example my ancestors were defeated by the ZULUs in the age of the INFECANE( the crushing) resulting in us being refugees(amaMfengu) even siding with the BRITISH who helped us fight back other tribes such as the amaXhosa(Gceleka) who treated us like second class citizens. So with that being said South Africa would be a different place today if it wasn't colonized. But lets not forget the atrocities that also occurred when Europeans where in SA.

If europe never colonized Africa it would still be in the Stone Age as it was before colonization. European colonization did more for Africa than they have for themselves.
