Looked at one of these at the dealer when my truck was in for an oil change. Price seems steep, but then that's the case for any SUV right now. Three things I noticed vs the previous model

1. Dashboard looks pretty similar to the old model. Both were nice enough, but nothing to really write home about, ie the new interior isn't THAT much nicer than the old interior. Personally I liked the previous dash better where the screen was integrated and not tacked on top.

2. Old model had reclining rear seats, new model does not. Rear seat was comfier in old model.

3. Old model had more room behind the seats, new model kinks the rear tailgate glass forward and limits the room back there.

Best thing about the new model is the styling. It does look pretty butch and is A HUGE upgrade over the old model. IMO if you don't care about that you are better off buying the old model and save yourself a bundle of cash, assuming dealers still have a bunch of 2018's on the lot they need to move(my dealer had 1 new model and 20-30 2018's at the turn of the year)

I honestly wouldn’t be embarrassed to drive a 2.5 AWD especially at the expense of 1mpg. 34mpg is good and Toyota makes great 4cyl engines as always.

No 0-60, 1/4 mi, BRAKING?? JUST BECAUSE IT'S AN SUV OR A FAMILY CAR, THOSE STATS ARE JUST AS IMPORTANT

The best looking TOYOTA I have not seen in 20 year

Test drove one and the engine noise took it out of the running. Ended up buying a Mazda CX5 Signature.

The Hybrid gets 39 MPG combined, and drives pretty much the same as the four

That Adventure model looks sweet! Great job, Toyota!

This is the vehicle that has finally won me over to Toyota. Decent (non-turbo) engine, a real 8-speed automatic (no CVT crap!) and a nice interior. I'd go base model w/AWD to save some $$$, but I was in the Adventure model and was blown away with everything it had. Nice Job, Toyota!

What about tiny 7" infotainment screen and thick bezel and frame around the screen ? For such a great SUV, why Toyota can't make screen size 8" or more and reduce bezel/frame around it ? The infotainment area needs upgrade like 2021 Camry.

How come no one is talking about the fact that this has the same engine and transmission as the new toyota camry (2018+). The new camry is having lots of transmission problems, so why should people expect this car to not have those problems?

The pricing on this vehicle are way too high. You can get other ones in this class for less.

This guy sounds like the voiceover guy from gameshows who explains the prizes and what they’re valued at.

I got a 2018 Hyundai Kona Limited for $25, 000. Features are... 1.6L Turbo, AWD, sun roof, heated seats, etc.. and it is a breeze to drive. I fully recommended.

2019 Toyota RAV4. The best overall comparing to any of the competitions.

Toyota almost never gets the respect they deserve. The RAV4 is a knockout. Lots of standard features, one of the highest quality interiors in the segment, and also one of the most efficient in the segment. The Hybrid RAV4 almost has no equal. Yet publications dance around the great job Toyota has done like musical cars. It’s always back handed compliments and unnecessary comparisons.

But when it comes to the bland, humpback, gas soaked, CVT groaning CR-V it’s nothing but praises. It’s quite amazing.

The RAV4 is a winner. Deal with it. So is the Camry, so is the Avalon, and so is the Corolla.

Toyota PLEASE bring back the V6 rav4... I rented a 2018, and I loved everything about it except that engine struggling to survive, it was painfully slow, and MW, where tf is that 0-60
