I just watched it again and saw that she did the easier version. She first stopped the ball and then did it from a dead ball situation. In Cameroon growing up, we did this running at the defender with the ball rolling on the ground.
A first Division league player was reputed for doing this extremely fast and at full speed towards the defense. You practically just saw him speeding at the defense with the ball and suddenly the ball was overhead as he charged through the defense to collect it behind them. Football used to be SUCH FUN!!

This is what Brazilians can do and that's why they loose 7-1 by Europeans

Actually this trick is kinda easy. Just not used often. I can do it anytime, hitting 9 out of 10. Even now at 32 years old. Maybe because I'm brazilian. :D

This video gives me the opportunity to correct a mistake that I see over and over again. When a player dives backwards in the air and his/her legs cross and one of them hits the ball, that is a SCISSORS-KICK!!!, also called CHILENA in South America. The crossing of the legs is the scissors in the kick.
What this girl has demonstrated, that is the correct BICYCLE-KICK!!! As she runs past the opponent, she quickly places one leg in front of the ball, uses the other leg to roll the ball on the stand-leg and then continues forward with the same leg that rolled the ball while quickly throwing the ball that is now rolling down the stand-leg over the opponent. The description is difficult and complicated, but as a young kid, you see a friend do it and you just try it a couple of times and soon you have a feeling for it. A couple more tries and soon you have it right. Then you try a couple more times and you are soon getting it perfectly each time.
It is called a bicycle-kick because the legs mimic the movements of someone paddling a bicycle. She did the easier version on this video.
People have been talking about bicycle-kicks every time a player takes a scissors-kick.

There is no need of this stunt. She can give a simple, effective assist rather than this stunt !

Comparing a female player skill with a male player skill just to validate her. Typical male brain working there. Thinking that he is praising the player when he is actually undermining her. You don't agree? Then think how many times have you heard someone comparing a male player with another male player during a game. Giroud headers a ball into goal and the commentator goes "He looked like Ronaldo in the air". Never happened, unless you are a very younger player which proves my point of how undermining these comments are.
