This is so true. Just through experience I can recognize and I’m not even afraid to call out men like this now-a-days. Lots of times they know I know without me even saying anything directly to them. I’ve been called a bitch by some of these men but guess what? I haven’t been manipulated by one since about age 27. Now I’m married to a lovely and sweet man :) I’ll say this for any young girls watching…if you’re not sure about it, if something seems off, if things are always somehow your fault…listen to your inner self! You know what else? People tell you who they are, it’s like some built-in guilt mechanism. They’ll tell you they’re an asshole, other people will say they’re an asshole, but women who are in loooove will ignore the lies and believe what they want to believe. Delusion is POWERFUL.

I never understood this in my teen years but now that I do my perspective of the whole ‘nice guys finish last’ thing has changed drastically. ‘Bad boys’ mimic what women really want, which is a competent man.
