Overtime is the problem. Take a 42 hour evaluated route. 7 hours a day. If you get done in 5 hours a day then you’re good and will be getting paid for 42 hours even though you worked 30 actual hours. But if you’re given a 2 hour split everyday that week and you get done in 7.5 hours everyday you’re screwed. 7.5 x 6 would give you 45 actual hours worked. Problem is you’ve worked your route (42 hours) plus the 2 hour splits (10 hours) so you should be getting paid for 52 hours. You just got cheated 7 hours of pay for getting done early.

Evaluated pay is a sham. You end up working more hours than you get paid for. It was designed to screw over workers. It has only gotten worse under Dejoy. The post office has wasted 6 years of my life. I have a burning hatred for the post office. Hopefully I can find a better job soon.

This video is wrong. An RCA is a sub carrier not the actual assigned rural carrier of that route. RCA’s are paid hourly up to the Eval but never over and less if the route is completed before the eval. So in essence you are penalized for completing the route faster.
