Mike must have just about every Gretsch kit at home.
They make one of the best steel snares around.

Gretsch sound very jazzy. Nice piercing attack but no overlong sustain. Really supports the technical player as all their work sounds very crisp.

That Brooklyn COB snare is great in large, open venues.
Big sound, as long as you don’t use muffling.

They talk about the size, but never say what size the drums are???

Brooklyn, the pick of the Gretsch Drums, in my opinion.

Gretsch drums sound so good, it's easy to see why many legendary jazz drummers from Gene Krupa in the early days to Elvin Jones and Art Blakey later played on Gretsch.  Gorgeous kit.

Nice Chrome Over Steel snare, but I thought matching Brooklyn snares were standard with these kits.
Fabulous warm vintage sound and my favourite in Gretsch.

Fabulous vintage sounding drums...my favourite Gretsch.
Still prefer the rack tom going into the bass drum and not the cymbal stand.
Not a fan of virgin bass drums.
Great sounding snare too..

Why are the drums always on the stage at an odd angle like that facing AWAY from the seats? What is that? Am I the only one who finds it totally insane? If you’re going to do it with your back to the audience at least center the drums in the middle of the stage! Am I wrong?

Cool drums.

That's a new one: "Trampoline feel". Drummer/salesmen are always coming up with new terms for kits like: Projection, response, the snare gives back, but the trampoline feel is a good one. I wish they would explain how the hoops create the trampoline effect.
