Full Compass Drum Product Specialist, Brian Nolan, shows us the Gretsch Brooklyn Series Kit at Full Compass Systems

Gretsch drums were born in Brooklyn, New York in 1883. The Gretsch drum design team molded the Brooklyn series by combining classic Gretsch elements while invigorating it with new attributes. Proudly hand crafted in Ridgeland, South Carolina, USA, by a team of veteran drum builders, Gretsch Brooklyn has a sound that is at once recognizable and essential, yet distinctively reinvented.

• 6-ply North American maple/poplar shells with the proprietary Gretsch 30-degree bearing edge. Shell interiors are finished with
classic Gretsch Silver Sealer.
• Brooklyn toms and snares come fitted on batter and resonant side with the new Gretsch "302" hoop
• The Brooklyn Round Badge has a black/pewter color scheme with classic embossed Gretsch design.
• Gretsch Permatone by Remo drum heads
• Add-on drums available to create your ideal configuration
• Maple hoops finished in satin black with matching inlay

I had the choice of buying this, or a 1967 vintage Ludwig in immaculate condition, including a Supra snare.
I went with the Ludwig, in blue oyster pearl.

that kit is about $2500 ..just get a catalina club for $ 800. mahogany shells kick ass.

Nice toms and bass drum, but the snare sounds a bit dead.
Might sound better with a Gretsch Brooklyn COB.
A bit of wobbling from the rack tom. ?

Strange left leg action on the high hat.
Squashing grapes 😃
Fabulous drums, though.
