I love how they talk about the title subject straight away instead of doing what most channels do and hide it somewhere in the middle, the rest of the show is so dam good I watch it all without needing that stupid hook 🪝

On a serious note, they should ban tossing bottles, that is a serious hazard to other riders, as the 2020 Giro showed us.

Holy cow, the first photo I ever upload to the GCN app gets picked as the week's most inspirational photo?! I'm flattered beyond words!

Also: you're not far off with "four layers"! Two pairs of socks (one of them being of the thick, woolly kind), plus heavy duty overshoes, long skiing underwear both for the legs and chest, thermal bib tights, as well as a long thermal jersey, and my winter cycling jacket. Two buffs and a casquette kept my head and neck nice and toasty (though I did end up with a frozen beard). Good times!

🐍Genuine snakeskin from a snake I was attacked by and managed to wrestle to its death at the Tour down Under last year, the remainder was used to make a pair of boots

I'd ban team radios. My guess is that it would make it more difficult to control the race, so it should provide more exciting racing. If a team wants information they could drop back and get it from the team car. Time gaps will still be shown by race officials on motorbikes or cars.

Team radios, instead have an open channel that anyone could call out hazards for safety. Cars or motorbikes in the last 3 kilometers, and barricades with those feet that extend into the racecourse.

Ban radio contact and power meters in racing, would open up more attacks

Is GCN+ worth it? Well, today I’ve watched the awesome Colombia adventure with Si and Jenny, the brilliant interview Dan did with Andy Schleck and Chris Boardman’s exploration of Yorkshire. I’ve had my £20’s worth already and that’s without any of the race coverage. Best subscription service ever.

Ban same color team jerseys that overlap with the event leaders' jerseys. No yellow at the Tour and no pink at the Giro.

Correct me if I am wrong: you’re not allowed to descend/ride in a super tuck/on the frame anymore but you’re allowed to take a piss while still going 45 km/h?

Ban littering and throwing bottles. More riders have been hurt by a random bottle rolling around the road than the super tuck.

Considering a plastic card with a width of 1mm. Fold it 100 times and width will double 100 times. 1mm x 2^100 gives around 133 billion light-years, which is slightly bigger than the diameter of the visible universe (90ish Billion LY)

Power meters and team radios. Make them ride on feel

I'm pretty sure Si meant to say that Joss Lowden rode 48.160 KILOmeters, seeing how riding 48.160 meters (about 160 feet) in an hour wouldn't be that big of a deal

When UCI bans super tuck position, this may be the start of the dropper seatpost in bike racing. That must by aero 😋

What would I ban? Sticky bottle and moto/support car drafting. There is already rules against it but no doubt is still deciding races.

It would be interesting to see: With the ban on super tuck, and ability to have bikes that weight way less than 6.8 kg, and progressively lighter dropper posts in MTB racing, if teams would essentially lighten the bikes enough to add a dropper post and and stay just above 6.8kg on mountain stages. It would allow for a more aero position without technically being a super tuck.

Ban, races that make risk finish lines, descents, or roundabouts ... bring the pros a safe place and they deliver cycling magic.

They need to ban team radios. Or limit them to one rider per team having a radio.
