How to retain Leading Zeros of a CSV file in Excel

When a .csv file is directly opened in a Excel, Excel automatically detects the datatype and eliminates leading zeros. E.g. 00123 and 0123 are both changed to 123 in excel
It is usually causes problem with identification codes etc. that may have such a format and the information is lost forever!

Here's a solution - Inform Excel that columns with such values are to be treated as TEXT and not NUMBER
