They ONLY reason on why she can´t be balanced is the fact that she´s untargeteable and you can´t focus her unless you kill the immortal Aatrox she´s on. They removed akali´s shroud ability to make you untargeteable under turrets because it was unfair and there was no counterplay, and Yummi is essentially the same but just because she is an Egirl support and easy skin seller they won´t do shit about her

Just put a timer on how long Yuumi can stay attached, rather than staying attached infinitely. Then the enemy can play around the window of when yuumi is detached.

If you want to see a design that works and that has the same function as yuumi, just look for hero IO in dota2. The hero has the same purpose as the cat, but the fact that he can be targeted makes it much more balanced and doesn't break the game.

I don't know in the rest of the regions, but in the LEC, every time Yuumi was banned, people cheered. That tells you everything about a champion.

All you need to do is make her targetable while attached. You can buff her defensive stats in return, I don't care, but being permanently untargetable is inherently anti-fun and toxic for the game.

I think Yuumi needs a mini rework of some sort. For example, giving her W a champion cooldown (sort of like sylas ult CD on enemy champions) so she can only stay attached to one ally for a certain period of time. It would force players to be cautious about when they attach to their teammates and add more skill expresion. Alternatively, her W and E could progressively become weaker the longer she stays attached to a specific ally. Every 5-10 seconds she sits on an ally 10% of the W buffs is removed, once she deatches it would add the 10% scaling back every 5-10 seconds. For her E, she would only heal 50% of the total amount after the first heal on an ally until she heals another ally (sort of like MF passive). Thoughts?

Weird how Riot ruined the value of grievous wounds (during their "DuRaBiLiTy PaTcH"), and now the 2 champs who are hard countered by it (Aatrox and Yuumi) are rampant in pro play. I wonder how we can alleviate these issues!!

Make her share damage with whoever she's on, can't put wards or use any summoners while attached, cool down on swaps so she can't swap back and forth has to either stay on one person or make smart swaps, just a few ideas

yuumi can be balanced if you add room for counterplay, as a game designer myself, it can be done for example via silence and channel effect, so if you CC the host with the previous mentioned effect, yuumi will be silenced as well, or even detaches her from the host, thus making picks like chogath, malzahar, kassadin (yes his Q can interrupt things), soraka, etc. really strong vs yuumi

this way yuumi can't be first picked easily, else you can get counterpicked easily

I hate having a Yuumi support, because most often than not they just afk sit on you. Don't actually use their kit optimally. It's the laziest design of a champion possible. Riot doesn't know how to balance the game though, I've watched them try since season 1. Each time they release a new champion it throws the scales off every time.

Here's an idea to balance yuumi around: CC that affects her attached champion, affects her too.
If she wants to heal or be impactful, she'll have to detach to avoid CC or potentially suffer perma-CC which makes it easier to burst the attached champion and grants the ability to interrupt her ultimate.
