Mitsubishi Outlander SUV 2013 review - CarBuyer

The Mitsubishi Outlander is a sturdy, stylish SUV with class-leading space that also offers the only genuine hybrid SUV on the market. It has genuine off-road capability, can carry seven people comfortably and is a great car to tow a trailer or caravan. It's also cheap to run, with a strong diesel or the super-efficient hybrid. The Hybrid is eligible for the £5,000 government grant and is the cheapest-to-run SUV money can buy.

The Outlander has an "enourmous boot" whereas Ms. Jackson has a perfect one.

I'm 10 years late to this video haha! Just bought a second hand 2013 outlander that looks exactly like this and my oh my do I love it. Previous owner kept all records, serviced it regularly. Very little aesthetic tear but the car feels good as new!

I have the Outlander diesel. My advice is avoid all together as the build quality is terrible. After 6000 miles, the carpet is worn through and I was told that if I expected them to last longer then I should have bought mats. I have had cars a lot older with many more mile that looked newer. The door rattles and fuel economy is way off the book. The after sales service is non existent as I had a problem with the stop/start which had the warning light flashing, I was told that it did that when it was not being used. I explained that the manual said it was a fault and I was told that I was wrong. After three times of returning to the dealer, they finally admitted there was a fault.

I test drove an outlander PHEV here in Japan, and it was just awesome!

It's nice to see that other countries appreciate Mitsu for what they are, unlike the mindless consumers over here in the U.S.

I remember when the Outlander, Pathfinder, Qx45, and 4 Runner used to be really rugged looking ten years ago, or so. Now they all look heavy, wide, and crossover-like. They used to actually look like they could tackle off road bits.

She said "Let's check these practical credentials" and then the booty show started. Then she said "It's as easy to operate as this" and you saw the view at 1:16. Is that strategic or what?

Well done Rebecca! These are the good old days when you were demonstrating that you can be a professional when reviewing a car!

I like mitsubishi - they are clever and well build. Owned a few and might buy the outlander one day. The option of having 7 seats is quite useful form time to time:)

Nice to see CarBuyer is still full of absolute pervs not commenting on the review itself.

I agree with her. Japanese buttons and switches have looked the same for about 30 years. It doesn't really make a difference if it's a new Avensis or a 1987 Mazda 626, it's all the same.

design looks simple initially but later find it rather good looking.

Liked previous more, but this black paint makes it fine. Only 2 negatives + which isn't important for me! Great review for great car :)

2 things
1. need to retitle because its Mitsubishi, just a small typo.
2. the seats were never comfortable for me because on anything other than short trips the seats in the last gen Magna (full size sedan sold in Australia) made my ass sore. It was the same story with a newer MPV, because I'm assuming the seats were the same. So my question is whether Mitsubishi fixed this?
