FWIW, this video is definitely correct for me! I brought my three-month-old bike in for a checkup at a local bike shop yesterday, and they set the yellow bar between the lines like one normally should. But then shifting was bad - specifically second gear kept slipping back to first. Then I found this video, made the adjustment, and it's back to normal.

Absolutely incorrect. How do I know this? Direct info from Shimano. Also, when I took delivery this week, the gears were slipping if adjusted as you recommend. Changed to Shimano spec (in between the marks) and it works perfectly.

Love the bike (Gotham Classic) now that I got this fixed.

wow it really should be made clear in the intro and title that this video is only for belt drive Priority bikes, and that 'normal' bikes should adjust the yellow dot in between the lines as shown in other videos

Doesn’t the yellow dot supposed to be between the 2 lines when adjusting for 2nd gear ?? I saw other videos adjusting it that way for a 3 speed Shimano nexus …. You Sure??

Thanks, I just got a Jamis Earth Cruiser and my nexus was out of whack. Your simple video helped me to get it back to where the yellow needle is supposed to be. Hopefully this fixes the grinding noise I was hearing as I rode it, if not I'll try the needle inside. 😊

Hi Max,
Great video, but 2 things. My Gotham Nexus module is not 10mm, but more like 3/8 inch. And 2., the module must be seated fully on the rear axle and then secured in place for the yellow mark in the indicator to be of any value.
This is an amazing bike.

Tried it your way and I could feel the gears constantly slipping as I peddled. Adjusting it so the indicator was between the two lines fixed it.

Seems your customer service video above is misleading. The yellow alignment patch on the hub gear assembly should be aligned between the parallel lines, and not on the inboard side of the parallel lines. Had I known this, I would have been saved hours of frustration.

Thanks were wondering why my bike suddenly stoped shifting tried to adjust it at first, not even able to get it within the lines, then checked the pin... It was missing someone stole it and that was the problem....

Great video, my gears locked up in 3rd gear and the pedals won't move at all. Took the windowed bell housing off and manually pushed it in with my finger while pedaling and once again it locks up when pushed too far in. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the video. I've got this setup on my bike but have found the stock gear ratio to be way too hard for the hills where I live. Could you point me in the right direction of where to find a new cogs or rings to change my gear ratio? This is my first belt drive setup and I'm not sure where to look. Thanks!

trying to do a good dead for an older lady I work with has about drove me insane! someone stole her trike (worksman lazy lav) and when they found it it had been parted out. i have been at it an hour here an hour there for over a month. stripped down to the frame, sanded, painted and got it all back together and i cant figure out the darn 3 speed. i looked and looked for something on the nexus but no luck. finally found this video and i'm missing that pin! didn't know the thing existed. Where can i find one? please lend a fella a hand

Wrong. It needs to be BETWEEN the yellow lines in 2nd gear.
