Hooking up a PS2 to 29' Ultrawide HD Monitor in 2018 = Game Changer

I bought a hacked playstation 2 slim for 20 bucks on Facebook marketplace in 2018. In this video I show you how I hooked it up to my new LG Ultrawide 29" monitor - and walk you through all the necessary steps and equipment you need to do the same!

Revisit the old classics like Killzone, Final Fantasy, Manhunt and more. Stay until the end of the video as I walk you through my Playstation 2 collection - hidden deep in one of my closets.

I do mention Final Fantasy 13 in the video - correction, I was referring to FF12. Don't hate!

How's the delay/lag with the video and sound? I know I could never play Guitar Hero III on a HDMI LCD TV as well as with an RCA connection to a CRT TV.

I alredy plugged in my ps2 to hdmi with an usb power. But my monitor keeps showing "out of range", my monitor type is lg22mk600, Other people on reddit said my monitor doesn't support resolution lower than 480i, idk if that was right.. so how to solve this 'out of range' problem?

I dont understand why you need the dingsung switcher. I bought the ps2 to hdmi converter and it doesn't work because my monitor is full hd i think thats the problem

What you actually have is a HDMI switch not a splitter. The Chinese product is labeled incorrectly. 😂

Switch = multiple in, 1 out (switch among source signals)
Splitter = 1 in, multiple out (split to multiple displays)

They work opposite each other. :)

if you use OPL PS2, you can put the game ratio to 1080p/i
