In Aristotelian taxonomy, the things of our experience are species, and every species is in a genus. However, according to Aquinas, God cannot be put into a genus like this.

If we are trying to put God in some category, perhaps we can put God in the category of Ultimate. The category of Ultimate would be something that is unconditionally, nondependent, non-derivative, and fully self-contained, from which all things to derive and depend. This would be something that is metaphysically primary. What do you think about that?
