I don't think that JJ knew that Cousy and West knew how to use social media 😂😂 I've loving how they're getting into the narrative, what about y'all? Let'em know in the comments. 🙏🏾 for watching

JJ got seriously clowned🤡 by NBA history standards. He's a fly on Cousy ass.

Bob Cousy 18-21 ppg for 10 years when there was no three-point line, and led the league in assists for 8 years in a row. While his field goal percentage may seem lackluster by today's standards, he was average for most of his career, but as mentioned it wasn't his role. The guys he played against like Robertson, Russell, Chamberlain, West and Baylor set records that either were not broken for decades, or remain unbroken by the supposedly superior skills of the modern NBA. Now we could talk about how you couldn't palm the ball or travel back then, so FG% was lower, or how Cousy was an innovator in ball handling, or how Cousy would have had different training had he been born in the 00s and not in the 20s, but the game will always be changing. Cousy's most enduring legacy is the fact that he helped found the player's union. He was one of the only people to be making a decent living in the NBA at the time and he used his power as an all-star to give a hand to his fellow players, and all future players.

Not to rub it in too much because I don't think Redick thinks he's the best player ever, but Cousy has an NCAA championship, 6 NBA championships, one MVP, 13 All Star appearances, 2 All Star MVPs, 8 assist leaders, and a retired NBA jersey number, and Redick has 0.

Bob Cousy will always be remembered as one of the all-time great guards in the NBA while JJ Redick will always be that dude no one knew played in the NBA.

As someone who watched the NBA in the 90s, it’s frustrating trying to convince these new fans that MJ didn’t play against a bunch of dinosaurs. It’s sad when these guys say the Reggie Miller led Pacers were garbage while praising Lamelo Ball and the Hornets 😅

"Their players played with podcasters and TV show hosts."

Damn straight. Firemen and plumbers are more athletic than podcasters and TV show hosts.

We stand on the shoulders of giants who had it a lot harder than we ever did.

That’s my point exactly who is JJ Redick to be in these conversations. That just goes to show you a lot of guys today they don’t respect the past at all.

"...doing that thing where they are pretending to debate."
👌😂😂😂

A fair comparison would be to swap the NBA rules for both eras and see how the players perform. Wilt and Russ were not allowed to bang in the paint on offense. That was a foul. Palming was strictly enforced hence so much dribbling with only the dominant hand. NO 3 point line. No zero dribble gather.

0:43 - there were 8 teams, so if there were 8 teams, that means scrubs dont make the team, that means the best guys available are out there and guys like jj reddick dont have a job. Less diluted league.

JJ has a ton of nostalgia in his eyes when he talks about what he accomplished in the nba. Thinks he was on super teams and that his teams invented certain ways of playing while no one else can name the teams he was on for each year.

Jerry West was the NBA Finals MVP in 1969, and the Lakers lost the series to the Celtics in 7 games. When does a player is so recognized on a losing team? He was so clutch that Bill Russell praised him so much for carrying the Lakers for the entire series. The logo is Mr. Clutch period.

JJ, Kendrick, and Draymond are the Plumbers and Fireman’s of this league because they are not elite players.

I love how Jerry West is about that smoke. Shots fired. People need to put respect on the names of the players that we can't readily YouTube. I understand what my Dad and his generation meant when they said "yeah he's good but you should've seen..." because how players like Barkley, Tmac, Olajuwon and, vs Lebron, even MJ get disrespect from newer fans.

Jerry West cuts people down in the most respectful and thoughtful manner possible. The eyes say otherwise, but he doesn't throw verbal daggers at people.

Jerry West is what I call a transition athlete he could have played in any era.

Back then with no 3 pointer JJ would have been a 6 pt man! Like Barkley said just riding the bus never driving!🤣
