I've never watched Ghost. I know, I know, but I haven't. This puts me at a severe disadvantage when someone says, "you should do the song from Ghost!" because I'm clueless.

When I saw how often this song is covered though (I think I may have heard Elvis sing it?), I am surprised I've never heard this version before. So, here we go!

Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to the Righteous Brothers for the very first time, performing "Unchained Melody” Live from 1965.

This was a live appearance on the Andy Williams Show. No tricks, no redos, no second chances, no autotune, no nothing but his talent. IMO this is one of the all-time best live performances ever.

Arguably the greatest solo live performance of all time... His voice was perfection... 👌

Bobby could sing anything with his God given talent. He wasn’t taught, no music lessons or auto tune. Just pure and unadulterated beauty!❤

No gimmicks. No attitude, No pretences. Just raw natural talent giving it his ultimate best. I love this song.

My wife and I met in January 1969, while I was still in the Marine Corps. We were married May 3rd of that same year. Unchanined melody was always "our" song, she died, of cancer, in 2013, loving each other to the end. I cannot listen to this song without weeping. I wish that all of you have what we had; may God bless you all.

I'm a hardcore metal head and think this is honestly one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded.

Last night I watched 25 - 30 Reaction videos of Bobby's performance. 5 or 6 were done by vocalists. All the women, vocalists included, just melted in their own ways, and the guys were equally awed by the potential of love that could evoke what this song by Bobby does. This is the only comment I wrote, though nearly every single video deserved it, but I have to admit, the Charismatic Voice woman does such a professional musical analysis, while melting like all the other ladies, that her stops and comments only add not take away anything from Bobby's performance. Oh, I should add that of all the videos I watched, I had streaming tears at times during most of them. This song, sung by Bobby hits the emotion of love like nothing I have ever heard. I teared up again today listening again to this video!!

Voices like that do not exist anymore. Amazing!

I believe his mother was in the audience and smiled at the end because he absolutely nailed it in front of her. True greatness.

Can we also talk about how that orchestra is absolutely killing it? Just sublime.

The fact that he doesn't drag out the last note even tho he has breath to spare is incredibly cool :-)

Thank you for recognizing the technical achievement of this performance. Very few reviewers do. He had no vocal training. Bobby had a cold, and he was nervous because his mom was in the audience.
I was a countertenor long ago in 1972, so every time I hear this song, I get teary at the end because of the beauty of such talent. Its feels like ...

My Grandpa passed when I was 8 years old, he was my hero. I was sitting in the kitchen with just my Grandma and myself listening to the radio( this was a rare time the house was empty) this song came on and she started to tear up. I asked her what was wrong and she said “ this is the song me and your grandpa danced to for the first time together, what I would t do for one more dance with him. “ I took her by the hand and walked in the living room and said “ I know grandpas not here, but I’d love to dance with you.” That was our last dance together. Love you Grandma ❤

Bobby Hatfield owns this song. It is his and his alone. No one has ever sung this song as good as Bobby Hatfield and no one ever will. This is the GOLD standard. Period.

This masterpiece was a send-off song for many troops heading to Vietnam, it was a last dance for many who are on the wall in Washington DC.

Hands down the best male vocalist of all time possessing more passion and vocal technique than any one to hold microphone.

I've watched this analysis a multitude of times. The vocal coach is charming beyond words. Her description makes that beautiful song even more beautiful. Outstanding job young lady!
