I’m homeless in Tampa, they tripled my rent. We lost our business. Now I have cancer. I can’t find any help whatsoever and have worked all of my life: I’m 50 and ready to give up. Lost ever I owned because I had no where to store it. I have no family. It’s a horrible, evil world. I don’t do drugs or drink. People treat us like trash and it hurts. I’ve never panhandled or asked for money. 😩😭😭😭😭 Why are people so mean?

Someone, please do some crowd funding for her. She desperately needs a little place to call her own, or even a car.❤😊

I'm disabled. Thank God I'm NOT homeless. But it can easily happen, and I fear for my future. I feel for Gwendolyn. I hope they can help her transition to a Tiny Home Community for the Homeless.

God bless her... She's desperately trying to maintain her dignity and self respect. And she doesn't appear to be on drugs either

May God bless her with all the strength she needs, and good health, wisdom, and the discernment to see any good opportunities coming her way.😊❤🙏🙏🙏

I feel that any female that is homeless, is in even more danger than males. Just because women usually are more vulnerable. My heart goes out to all, male and female, any ages.🙏🙏🙏

Gwendolyn, I hope good people cross your path soon. I know there are still some good people out there.

I recently heard a story of a woman who was homeless. She was living at a local shelter and working at a store 8 hrs a day. Walking to work and back. One day on her way back from work she had a seizure- laid on the sidewalk for hours. Missed her curfew at shelter. Was kicked out and fired. No one helped her on that sidewalk too. This was sad but true. I think this an important story to hear. Health challenges can be really difficult. Health is wealth. ❤

She's obviously eligible for housing. If she gets a check there's options
In different states.
We have cheap apartments by the college church of christ in searcy arkansas. She's welcome here. I volunteer st a free clothing and food place to help people in the county.
We have free church meals every Monday night. There's good people here and she'd probably be better of here in town.

Thanks for placing the spotlight on Gainesville, FL. This young woman willingly admits coming from Clearwater, FL a much larger city with more resources. While there are homeless services available through Grace Marketplace, they are limited and grant funded based on the size of the local community.

That's the trick to being homeless. Never look homeless and move around to different areas so no one notices you are even there.

I'm 60 years old and I grew up here. Grew up in Pinellas County I live in Pasco now. This used to be a wonderful place to live, it's not anymore. When everybody started moving hear it change things. Especially the last few years.

They dont care, money is all that matters to those who pretend to care for the public.
