Turning a music conductor's baton out of maple and sapele. This is for my 15 year old son. He asked if I could turn one for him... so we went to the shop and turned it!

The music is "Danse Macabre" Op.40 by Saint-Saens
Conducted by Eugene Ormandy

Thank you Mike! I think that my son was conducting the music in his mind. ;)
Take care friend,

Thank you! It is tough turning something that is long and thin. I broke the first one by moving the tool rest while the piece was spinning.

Greetings from The United States!

The finish is just simple shellac, nothing fancy.

Brett,
Great video as always. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know linemen even knew of music like that. Son will have lots of fun directing you and your banjo.

Hey Ron,

I'm not just the everyday, run of the mill lineman! ha ha. I'm cultured!
Thanks, I'm glad that you enjoyed it!
Now get off of the computer and go turn something! ;)
