Hey mamas! In today’s video I’m so excited to share with you our read alouds that we have planned for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year!

This is a collab hosted by Megan over at Pennies and Salt! Be sure to check out her channel and video, and go check out the playlist to get even more ideas for read alouds!

✨Check out Megan’s channel here:

✨Binge watch the playlist here:

If you want to take all of the thinking out of choosing read alouds, go subscribe to The Land of Storybooks and get a new book—with crafts and activities sent to you each month!

✨New here? Introduce yourself in the comments!

I’ll go first:
I’m Christina, a homeschooling mom of 5 kids (ages 1, 2, 5, 10, & 13). I love the Charlotte Mason homeschooling approach, and many others, but I’d say I’m more of an eclectic homeschooler—mixing the different aspects of homeschool styles that I love—living books, literature-based learning, Montessori, and so much more!

Whether you are considering homeschooling, new to homeschooling, or just looking for some encouragement and inspiration for your motherhood journey, I hope you feel welcome and encouraged here 🤍

We love the Christian heroes then and now books. I had the opportunity to interview the authors of those books and it was so neat to hear the stories of how those were created.

We love the Chronicles of Narnia! My husband has read this series aloud to our kids 3 times (our oldest is almost 17, and the first time was when she was 6). We read the books in the order that they were published, starting with The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

My husband usually has a read aloud going in the evening with our older kids. I read aloud from a lot of different books to my kids but only to one or two kids at a time. It is fun when the older kids show up to hear the books that I read to them when they were younger.

That's a great idea to have your kids have their own copies to follow along! I'm hoping to do that with some audiobooks this year. We are on book 3 of Narnia right now.
