Amazing Performance but.... | ROG Strix RTX 4080

FINALLY the RTX4080 is out and we took it for a benchmark round VS the previous champ, the RTX3080
and while the performance is great, the price is NOT! and now the main rival for NVIDIA is actually NVIDIA?!

I only just noticed that the red and blue parts at the bottom of the card are meant to be the ROG logo. I always thought it was a bit of a random design choice until now.

just bought mine... coming from a 3070Ti (probably not needed as an upgrade but I am hyped for Starfield at 60 consistently)

If I’m really trying to go all out and hopefully stay relevant into the future is this worth it? I mostly play at 1440p and the 2070 is starting to not cut it anymore plus I’d like to have the option to Ray trace and not completely tank performance

So... Clearly these cards run games best on your private jet, yacht or space station. Not really something I'm looking to invest in. Due to regulation regarding eco-friendly soldering these cards likely won't last, but on the other hand RTX5080 in 2 years, right? Why bother upgrading?

I replaced my 3080ti with a 4080 and put the 3080ti in my spare machine .. its happy there and my grandson loves my spare machine

before the price was showed i was considering the upcoming RDNA3 flagship or the 4080, all would depend on pricing and performance, i was watching the stream at my college and i legit almost bursted laughing mid class when nvidia unveiled the 1200usd pricing for the 4080, and immediatly ditched it as an option and my concern was the RDNA3 cards pricing, so with how underwhelming this card ended up being for it's price, getting the XTX is almost a certainty
