+ Elmo's Diner is still open, and prices are still affordable
+ Branches Chapel Hill Bookshop is closed
+ Mama Dip's is still open, but prices have risen. ie hushpuppies were $2.50 are now $7.95.
+ The Barbeque Joint closed before one of its cooks opened up The Pig in the same building
+ Caffe Driade is still open, still affordable

I live in Raleigh. Sadly, Mama Dip’s in Chapel Hill just announced they’re closing in August 2024 after 48 years.

That barbeque guy was married to my high school boyfriend's aunt. One year for Thanksgiving, my bf's mom made a brussel sprout recipe to bring, and he said it was a lot like the one he served at his restaurant. When he asked where she got it, she said she got it from Rachael Ray's website.

And that's the story of how someone I knew became convinced Rachel Ray had stolen his brussel sprout recipe 😂

This show is iconic, 20 years old and one of the best food travelers shows ever! Rachael Ray's you just gotta love ❤️ her. However, I bet some of these places she went to are probably closed due to the change of time.

Driade has an even more gorgeous outdoor area now! Although I miss the late-night hours. And I never saw the iced cappuccino on the menu, but they make the best cortado! How fun to see this footage. And now we have Flyleaf instead of Branches, which I could only find a few old articles about.
