Schorsch Nickaes, DYNAFIT Product Director and Mountain Guide shows how to start ski touring. He gives informations about the basics that you need to know on your first ski tour.

Basic gear include ski touring skis, ski toouring bindings, and skins for the uphill. Besides you need ski touing boots, poles and snow safety equipment. Especially for backcountry tours shovel, probe and avalanche beacon are essential. Continuous practise and professional courses to train your skills and knowledge about safety equipment and avalanches are highly recommended. Also you should always wear a helmet for the down.
