We just did these last night. I did mine with bacon and grilled jalepenos and grilled onions. They were great.

I find it interesting that it did not want to stick to flour tortillas, I did it with corn and they came out awesome. The corn tortilla actually had a but of a crunch but not too much and a bit of a chew. Was very tasty. And it was really quick to make. Good job

Instead of the plastic wrapped American cheese, your deli counter can slice American cheese that is much better. Friends say I make the best smash burgers and I feel that’s one of the reason why.

I make these. I smash the burger first, season it, add a fist full of REAL cheese, then put the tortilla on top. Helps the meat stick to the tortilla. When I flip, I season again, and spread nacho cheese over the burger.

Yes I have done this, but used corn tortillas and made them actual tacos instead of burger style. I seasoned the ground beef with cumin, garlic powder, salt n pepper, chili powder and paprika. If I could post pics I would. They came out amazing

I portion the meat, roll it into a ball then press it onto the tortilla. I do this to as many as I plan to make then bring them out to the grill. For me it makes it easier to get everything cooked and on the table to eat

The cheese skirt thing looked amazing would be fire with like pepper jack and fajita style chicken or steak with onions and peppers!!!....I'm going to try these for sure!!!!

I had did this and they are amazing. I used a little less meat and you need a little room between the smash tacos. I did season the very bottoms of the meat when placing. I added a little oil when flipping too. Worked amazing and as usual, fast to make so many.

I like them filled with chipotle onion slaw. Slivered cabbage, red and green onions, red peppers, and cilantro tossed in chipotle ranch sauce.

Quick follow up on your great idea after watching your video. My wife has Alpha-gal so she cannot eat red meat so I tried this with turkey burger and spices. Made 4 oz turkey balls, smashed them with spices and then basically duplicated your idea. They came out great, she like it and wants it again this weekend when the kids come up. Thanks for helping round out a tough menu for alpha-gal sufferers.

Brother I did the Big Mac Tacos Last night and IT EXCEEDS GREAT. I HAD 5 BIG MACS YESTERDAY. Just destroyed my eating & exercise habits. 😱 Mash the beef/meat on the tortilla for better results. Just saying I've done both.

we actually made these last night, came out delicious. I will definitely do it again. We had the same issue of it not sticking to the tortillas. I also was surprised about that. But they came out great.

You are right about having everything ready to roll, these things cook fast.
I lay parchment paper on a tortilla press, ground beef on the parchment and then the tortilla. Smash them flat, the beef will stick to the tortilla nicely and be very thin. I season the meat and then cook. American cheese is a requirement.
The burger sauce is mayo, creamy french dressing, fine onions and dill pickles. Relish would work for the pickle but we like dill pickles not sweet pickles.
Delicious.

I made it stick by smashing it and cooking one side, flipping it, putting cheese on the cooked side, and then the tortilla. Let uncooked side cook and then flip into the tortilla.
