As much of a bad person Monty was, this made me cry so hard after knowing his story, an abusive home life, scared and confused about his sexuality, and he finally found someone like Winston that he could be himself around and open up to, and that gets taken away. So sad

Omg this is stunning. This is his version of an apology letter to Connor. In Connor's book A working progress he mentions troye like crazy. They were so close at one point and now all of a sudden they're like ghosts to each other. In Note to Self Connor talks about troye secretly but never mentions his name. My ex broke up with me and I didn’t realize at the time that I truly had gotten the good side. I wound up getting legit the best boyfriend in the whole universe shortly after.my ex is still single and he’s happy now but he completely regretted breaking up with me and tried getting me back for months after and listening to this made me break down and cry because it’s so bittersweet. At one point I thought I’d be with that guy forever, and 3 years later I’m happier than I’d ever thought I’d be. I did get the good side, it’s sad that he didn’t and it sucks but regardless it’s life. This song is so beautiful and feel as if everyone who has had their heart broken or has done the heart breaking can relate.
