I'm glad to see interest and victory in the American space program again. This is the stuff that makes America Great, not our chaotic government.

What a Great Time to Be Alive, I just wish I was 18 again, but 62 is better than the Alternative. God Bless the Universe. 🇺🇸

Hard to even begin to imagine making a rocket-levitating crane and having it operate on an entirely different planet

although I graduated from Cornell over 40 years ago now retired I still kick myself for not taking an elective course with Carl Sagan who was teaching there when I was in school; and they still have a wonderful astronomy dept today

Did the sky crane just fly away and crash when it ran out of fuel or was it a more controlled descent before it ran out of fuel? Just curious. Just Googled it - the crane flies away and crashes.

dear Ian,
how will the results supersonic parachute video affect our efforts to scale up the chute & put more mass on the ground the next rover? does this mean launch faring size will be the only limit on mass left?
