I attended RMA. I agree, it is accurate to what went on there. A brief segment before the father tells the daughter she is going back to the school, where the staff from the school, tell the parents to disown her if she doesn't agree to return, would have been good. This was done often, from what I have been told, including by my own parents. Glad to see more work being done on this topic to inform parents and future parents.

for legal purposes, this story is fiction. however, i went to cedu. imo this is a good sketch of what those places were like. the work is meant to initiate conversation about those and other similarly abusive teen 'rehabilitation' programs that were popularized during the war on drugs. thank you for commenting.

What is this? a film? Drama?...Is it published full yet? Where can one see it?

What program is this based upon? It looks a lot like what went on at the CEDU schools known as CEDU and Rocky Mountain Academy. Confrontational therapy where you scream and yell at people for hours, berating them and calling them names like "slut". Monitored phone calls. Terms like "Guidelines", whereas at RMA and CEDU it was "Agreements". Cults don't normally use normal words like "Rules." A lot of these programs are similar, or spin-offs, so I was wondering which program this was based on.
