As an American, I like this song, it's patriotic because it speaks of the bad of America instead of glorifying the injustice that many many Americans go through, it isn't a happy go lucky song, it sings of the pain and the anger towards one's own country...Truly an American song that should be respected regardless of what the viewpoint of the viewer is.

I remember this song being played at a Fourth of July fireworks show back in 2021. I already recognized it because they would play it on the radio as a kid. Later I found out what this song is truly about. It’s very ironic and it’s very sad how veterans are forced to experience torture and ptsd.
