Of course, Bevan won Matches without any media promotion. Real original match finisher Michael Bevan.

Michael Bevan's Inning of 185* against Asia-11 in my opinion is the best innings played in the history of the game, World-11 lost but he became so close to winning the game, whole batting line collapsed all greats like Sachin Anwar .... no one thought it could be even a close match..
If remember correctle, 6 runs were needed of the last ball but he hit a 4, his 185 runs, in my opinion is the greatest cricket innings ever

Some greats will be forgotten by the masses due to them not having a very good test career.

Lance Klusener, Michael Bevan, Yuvraj Singh and Shahid Afridi.

They will always remain the childhood heroes of us 90s kids however.

People always say, "dhoni the finisher". I ain't gonna start a fight here cause we all know how good a finisher he is. But the thing is, without bevan, the role of being a 'finisher' wouldn't even have been a thing. He was definitely the greatest finisher cricket has ever seen.

I still remember his 185 in Asia vs ROW 2000 match and his 69 in 1996 WC final along with Stuart law's 72 to guide Australia to a good score.

2003 WC hero!! Literally!!
Saved from a walloping from NZ bundling out them from 79/7 but still managed to score 205/8 playing out the whole 50 overs.. Thanks to this man bevan and bichel. This duo saved them from England and Sri Lanka in the very same world cup after the top order had failed almost everytime..

A great finisher! His running between the wickets and knowing when exactly to cut loose.. Great player, the man, the myth, the legend BEVO!

Bevan was 1.0 and Hussey was 2.0 of finishers for Aus. Both played down the order and consistently finished games. They weren’t allowed many failures.

His average 53 is double for modern Cricket... If he played now, his average would be 90±

I am from Bangalore and have loved him through his playing career and will say he is and will be the greatest ever finisher. Had he started and been there as long as Sachin.. he would have scored 20k+ runs in ODI provided he was at number 3 or 4 all through his career
