My first apartment was in Long Beach CA 2 blocks from the beach. It was in a tiny complex of only 5 apartments. 1 bedroom 1 bath. Huge bedroom, kitchen and living room. Kitchen had a vintage O'Keefe and Merritt stove that worked like a dream. $550 a month this was in 1995. good times!!❤

I’m an octogenarian. My first apartment was in Long Beach. 1brm 1ba. $45/mo in 1955. Houses on the beach cost around $4, 000 full purchase price.

I pay $550.00 for 800 sq foot. But... I'm a few miles from the Canadian border. In a small town in the mountains. Away from humans. Its great!

$1375 for basically a hotel room...its nice but it's baffling to see the cost in different states. That's a mortgage payment in most places

I have a rent controlled unit, I pay $1248 in a decent neighborhood just2 blocks from Melrose and Western. It’s 2 bedrooms, living room, separate kitchen, and a full yard(I have the back of a duplex so we get the back yard as part of our unit, my front side neighbors have the front yard)

When we lived in Long Beach, we added parking tickets to our monthly bills like it was an everyday thing. 😂

I’m trying to check what year this was made because I can’t even afford a studio on my own in Long Beach. I found some old ones going for $2000 plus and this doesn’t include washer dryer, WiFi etc😅 my brother and sister and their gf and bf is leasing a 2 bedroom apartment for $2700 in Orange County, nice area, includes the power, water, a/c, laundry and dryer, WiFi, storage space and little balcony area in a gated community. I was thinking it was expensive at first but when he listed all those things it makes so much sense.
