Kyosho DBX 2.0 VE Brushless Electric Off-Road Racer
Показать описание
The Kyosho DBX 2.0 VE is a blend of modern design and technology that combines to create one of the most exciting high-performance ready-to-run vehicles on the market. It's factory assembled so it's ready to go in a matter of minutes, and it's powerful - REALLY powerful. the new Orion motor and ESC that are standard in the 2.0 VE are a step up from previous systems in all respects, the most significant of which is the ability to handle a strong 3S Lipo battery. The added power of a 3S pack and the new 2800 Kv motor easily produce speeds of over 55 mph (89 k/ph).
The DBX is part of the D-series, which is a line of vehicles that are designed to maximize the use of common parts. In doing so, it reduces the number of unique parts needed to build the car, which makes it efficient and economical. In addition to making the D-series vehicles more affordable in the shops, it also reduces the number of parts needed to make repairs. That makes the cost of ownership more affordable as well. At its core is a solid shaft drive system, which has proven worthly of handling the power of a strong .18 nitro engine, and now the big ponies of the Team Orion motor. It's easy to maintain and it's got a wide range of options to customize and tailor its looks and performance to each owner.
The Team Orion R10 ESC is somewhat of an anomaly in the RTR segment. Where other brands are stripping as many features as possible from their electronics, Team Orion chose some special features for R10 to enhance the owners experience without the need to spend extra money on a new speed controller. The R10 features an included cooling fan to keep it cool under the hottest conditions. It's also got five individual settings to tailor the ESC to your preferences. These are settings that are programmable right through the sing button on the outside of the ESC. There's also an optional programmer that opens up a greater range of options.
• Running mode - sets the ESC for forward only, or forward with brake and reverse mode.
• Drag brake force - sets the amount of brake that will be automatically applied when letting off the throttle. The settings include 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 40 percent setttings.
• Low voltage cut-off - can be set for no cut-off, or anywhere in the 2.6V to 3.4V range in 0.2V increments.
• Punch mode - there are four levels of punch mode, which gives the car more or less acceleration depending on the setting. Given the power of the motor and the propensity to flip over backwards in the right conditions, this should be a useful setting.
• Max braking force - four levels available - 25, 50, 75 or 100-percent braking power.
Team Orion's 2800 Kv motor is the powerhouse of a motor that's included with the DBX 2.0 VE. 2800 Kv is ambitious for a 2S battery configuration, which perhaps explains why it's freakishly fast with a 3S lipo pack. The motor is sensorless, which helps it to rev on the high end. It also features a precision-wound, laminated stator, which is motor tech speak for a more powerful and efficient motor than that which is included in some other ready-to-runs, which are stator-less designs. By building the motor with a precision-wound stator, Team Orion puts more power and efficiency in your hands, and there's no shortage of it with the 2.0 VE.
2.4 GHz radio technology is standard in the 2.0 VE. The KT200 transmitter has all the basic feautres needed to adjust the car in any manner needed for this application, and then some. The Syncro radio shares features with many budget-minded aftermarket radios that sell for a fair amount at the local hobby shop, but it's included with the 2.0. A Syncro servo, which is faster and more powerful than any servo Kyosho has previously used in any 1/10-scale car.
Lastly, the DBX 2.0 VE is made to fit 1/8-scale tires and wheels. This enhances the performance over the previous generation DBX, but it also greatly expands the performance potential greatly. With the wide range of 1/8-scale racing tires and wheels avialable, it's easy to tailor the performance of this machine by chosing the right conbination of wheels and tires.
There are a wide range of options for the DBX 2.0, some of which enhance performance and reliability, and others that customize the look of the machine. the bottom line is, this is one of the most exciting machines that you can buy and run out of the box without any extra expense to reach the performance claims.
