#LGBT’s Rights in the Middle East and North Africa

The Middle East and North Africa is one of the most homophobic regions in the world.

Most of the MENA countries do not recognize the existence and the rights of the LGBT group and criminalize same sex acts, whether they apply Sharia law or whether their criminal law draws from European codes inherited during the colonial period.

There are even LGBT+ organizations in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara.

PS: Iraq and Egypt legalizes homosexuality, but it has morality laws which partially criminalized it in a de facto way.

You forgot Bahrain, which they also legalized it.

I hope Morocco accept the LGBTQA+ community and gives them rights they deserve they are human beings too and we should not stop two people who are genuinely in love with each other from getting married and on Top of that punish them for being who they are WTF I failed finding even one non homophobic person in Morocco seems to be I'm the only non homophobic Moroccan person in this country damn I'm unique lol
