Hey Andy, I have just been employed by Microsoft as M365 support engineer, few months with you here and lots of determination got me in. God Bless you and Mery Christmas ❤️🤗

Worst with Teams is actually portability. And I don’t mean mobile use but mergers and tenant to tenant migrations. Microsoft pushed us all pretty hard into Teams especially when the pandemic set in. But migrating to another tenant is surprisingly hard and lacking. Chats and group chats are virtually impossible to migrate one to one. Chats can’t be rehydrated into teams with most tools because Microsoft kinda forgot to add it to their APIs. A lot of cooperative work happens in chats and group chats and we just have to drop them and start over. Sure. We can get them over to an obscure folder in outlook since chats actually are stored in exchange, but for some reason that folder isn’t indexed and thus not searchable! Improve this and also let go of EA for using cross-tenant first party tools!

YES! Licensing is terrible and now Microsoft is really cashing in with all the premium add ons. Premium teams is good though and from what I have understood teams premium is included in the copilot license

Great list, agree with you on the licensing, what a mess. And why are there 8 different versions of Defender, some only available with specific licenses.
Also thumbs up for M365maps, very useful site. Ill have to check out Forms, that looks interesting.
For me my favorite is Power Automate, followed by Microsoft Lighthouse, which helps with administration of multiple Tenants.
Least favorite is still Teams, even with the slightly improved new Teams. Just too many bugs and UI quirks, attached images contantly fail to send or take forever to load. Honorable mention to Outlook for 2nd most hated, any and all versions.

About OneDrive. We should just all stop syncing. Sync is really bad and disruptive, especially SharePoint libraries. But using the Office app or now OneDrive 3.0 mirrored in Teams is working rather well. If license permitting set Teams to always open documents in the desktop app for full functionality especially in excel and just stop syncing! Also the soon to be offline in the browser will be here soon.

The worst with OneDrive is the lack of search in recycle bin to granularity restore stuff whenever they were deleted.

Lack of dark mode on the Defender web pages is a big pain.

Bookings is amazing. Sadly the payment options for it went away. Would have made it more useful. I like the personal bookings page too and use it frequently. I don’t have to choose meeting time back and forth and as long as my calendar is up to date all is good

Perhaps a video about setting up a landing page or Intranet using Viva (Connections) and integrating this with Teams?

Andy! Why not use the desktop teams instead of in a browser? Also if you have a proper account in another tenant rather than a guest account you can be logged in to both. Problem with shared channels are the required admin config not all orgs have done to make it work.

Just curious, if I spot bugs/errors in one of the Microsoft portals, should I use the feedback button or should I open a ticket, or is there another reporting method? Currently I use the feedback button, but I often wonder if that's the right way to report a bug. (Because the button only asks for "positive/negative" feedback, it doesn't say anything like "report a bug" or something.)

Great video as always! One question though, in the new Teams app I get absolutely all accounts defined (break-glass, disabled and shared-mailboxes) listed under Chat->Suggested tab. This is reflected on all devices in the org. This is not the case with the classic Teams though. Is this a bug or is there a tenant-wide setting I have to configure? Nevertheless, I see this as a serious security risk, as the email-addresses for the Break-glass accounts are exposed to all users.

office 365 is crap. My productivity has decreased so much since this online shit. The desktop standalone office suites were so much better.

First of all please let me wish you a Happy New Year!
Second of all, today I filmed the first roller blading or better said trying of my 4 years daughter. No more then 9 minutes in total.
I remebered how just 4 years ago made in 2 hours a super video presentation with a combination of powerpoint, screen recorder and video editor. Basic stuff. So i thought making a nice gift for grandparents. Putting sone background music, rotating the intro something like that.
Buuuut. No more video editor. Only clipchamp. Ok... They replaced Movie Maker woth video editor, why being a hater.
Sir ... With all the respect clipchamp is absolutely bullshit for usual user. Just basic stuff. It is a bullshit done by microsoft for making you buying the entire product.
As hardware i have an Alien Rog 2021. It has 3 years, 16gbram and a dedicated video board. It crashed 5 times. Wtf. Second of all you cannot add writing something inside the video. Wow, i have a lot effects which i will never use but i cannot write one three things... And dubbing a song over a video...
As for paying just a little more....yeah just 125 usd each year while the windows 11 home is 139 years. Very very very cheap

This is the policy adopted by Microsoft, basically stating my clients are idiots. Let s take more money from them for what it was free.
I am going to learn and switch for linux. I paid my win 11 but taking the elements which were included in the price paid for the os and then stating you can buy them for cheap (125 usd clipchamp, 139 the os, 250 the office 2021 and just so far we have 514 usd. Soooo cheap. And then omg the piracy. Microsoft, usually this kind of greed will make you loose lifetime users. The fact that you have the buggest number of terminals is not the as having the monopol. Actually when you had the monopol you were ok. I mean come 9n, even apple after buy8ng gives you theae basic things. You pay for the hardware a shitload of money true buuut, comparing to the 1300 usd price of my laptop in 2021 the difference is actually decent, and they are giving and they will support the os and all the basic stuff, botnto say good and intuitive soft.
Dick move Microsoft
