She looks in great shape compared to the tens of thousands of Palestinian men, women and children who are hauled
off, without charges, to IDF torture camps, and if they finally come out are emaciated, broken, and scarred.

What the commenters here don't seem to understand is that the murdered and kidnapped on October 7 were strong believers in co-existence and peace with their neighbors. They hired Gazans to work, to give them better conditions, to give them a sense of self-worth and agency in their future. They volunteered to drive sick Gazans to Israeli hospitals for treatment. They lived close to Gaza to show their belief in humanity and individual human connection to overcome obstacles to a future peace.
The hostage families are the ones protesting against the Israeli government to end the war immediately and bring their families home.
They know that Israel will defend them in ways most don't agree with, but they are hurt most by the betrayal of people who they thought were their friends in Gaza.

Just because the other comments are dismal ( or maybe I think words matter): I am sorry for your experience and the way you were treated. Nobody should ever be treated with anything less than respect and dignity.
Including the Palestinians for the last over 20 years.

Shame on Amanpoor and Co for such one-sided reporting. Your contribution to genocide Christiana? Far cry from your early ground- breaking reporting in Beirut.
