Easily Run Programs as an Administrator in Windows 7 and Windows Vista

Anyone who is running User Account Control (UAC) in Windows Vista or Windows 7 may have come across this issue when running programs on their computer.

Because when running UAC the Windows Vista or Windows 7 user is not logged in as an Administrator and some programs may not behave as they should. This is due to the fact that the person who started the program only having normal user privileges.

The way we get around this for the programs that must be run with Admin privileges is an easy process, but one that can be forgotten.

Here is the easy way.

1. First Right click on the program you want to run.
2. In the list that appears at the bottom you will see Properties.
3. Left click Properties.
4. In the dialog box that appears left click on the Compatibility tab.
5. In the new dialog box at the bottom place a tick mark in the box next to "Run this program as an Administrator".
6. Left click apply then OK.

You can now start that program as you normally would and it will run with full Administrator privileges with out you having to do anything.

This didn't do jack squat for me! What if you are trying to delete something in a Folder that you need permission from the Admin to delete? Why wont it just let me run as an Admin!
