I had a rooster like that. I calmed him down with a slow raost, mashed potatoes & gravy and fresh cut green beans.

We're also in Maine. Had 6 roosters in this year's hatch. The one that goes after me is our very 1st hatch 4 years ago he lives. I take the metal can cover & protect my feet walking slowly. Any headache he gets is his own doing. We did cull the 6 new ones. My husband holds them down to show who's alfa, then pats them a while so they behave. Seems to work for him.

You seem to have quite the compound there. I think just about anybody who has had chickens has a bad rooster story. They are like a little dog, thinking that they are way bigger then they are. Good luck to you this deer season. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

I’ve been picking eggs since the mid 70s, I’ve never had a rooster that needed a third punt, most one is enough.

My mother told me a story about my grandfather getting spurred in the bum while chopping wood one morning and him grabbing the rooster and putting him on the chopping block right then and there lol

I had a rooster just like that last year. A French black copper Moran. I even hatched this dude in the incubator the year before. The eggs came from Texas very expensive on eBay. And every night when I go out to check for eggs, he would hit me behind the legs would not stop. So
One evening, I went out to collect my eggs and he got me again. So they say ring is neck. Yep, I run his neck. I was so mad. I didn't even eat him very expensive rooster. In the garbage. Now I have his son and so far. He's a good boy.
