R.I.P. The Crazy Mean Rooster

Today I was working on putting in a new automatic watering system for my chicken coops and chicken runs so I don't have to go in there to water them. While I was putting this together my crazy mean rooster decided to spur and it did not end well for him.

We had to dispatch of the crazy mean rooster, we can't let him go around continuing to spur us. We also had a chocolate silver laced Orpington rooster that we exchanged, not because he was causing harm but just because it was time to interchange them.

Had to put down a aggressive roster a few weeks back. He would go after people and our other animals. Sometimes you just have to do what you need to do. It's a bummer but you can't just have one animal that ruins everything for everyone else.

When I was a kid we had this mean rooster that would always attack me and one day he got punted and never attacked me again he learned his lesson 😅

Wow! He got you good. Sometimes, they have to go. Glad you were cool to the old Orrington. I had a really mean Americana rooster. When a coyote got him, I can't say I was super upset.

I've got a mean one too. He hasn't got me yet, but it's only a matter of time. I take a shovel in the coop with me. He sees it and runs. But he is going in the freezer here soon.

You take such great care of those animals.. I am so glad you got rid of him. He could cause a lot of physical damage to you, disease wise, and everything else.

Our rooster acts weird towards my husband. He makes weird sounds and puffs out at him when he comes around the hens. Tried attacking him one day as he was catching the hen by her legs doing a check up. Now I'm scared of Mr. Wobbles. That rooster knows it

Our Orpington rooster is so sweet and friendly, but the ones I had as a child were very aggressive and protective, they kept our flock safe, I mean that's mainly what roosters are for.

I watch my neighbors chickens and their rooster and he does attack but luckily he doesn’t spur, he just pecks. Probably the only reason my neighbors haven’t ended him. I call him Taki

I wasn't convinced their spurs could do _that_ much damage, but I was wrong. Imagine that catching you the eye.
