I'm hoping some company will come up with a way to have like mixing of colors to make different shades and other stuff like that just imagine being able to print a owl and it have shading cuz they have mixing of colors

They almost got it right. Mounting the spools to the side is great, but a different print head for each colour is where Multi-Colour printing is going. When it switches to a different colour, it switches heads instead of creating a lot of printing poop.

With mine the issue is if filament sits it breaks off in the tubes and is a pain and a half to get the broken pieces out. Id almost recommend removing spools you arent using due to this.

3D printing has really advanced since it was first introduced. These latest multi color systems are way less complex than prior systems and the prices are crazy low! DId you say that this Flashforge AD5X is only $400!!! That is awesome. I actually just saw it listed for only $339!

Smart setup. Ptfe is short which decreases friction and thus the chance of getting under extrusion.

The Kobra 3 Combo can sometimes be had for around $300 plus tax.
And that one has a filament dryer.

It seems like a smart way to store the filmment and whatever, but the printer is going to do calibration with all that filament either on or off the printer, and any changes (including the printer using a lot of the filament) will affect the final product.

As a flashforge 5m owner I'll say this. Even if you enclose it, FF locks out the factory filament profiles based on firmware. So if you want to print in ASA or PA on your 5x after enclosing it. You will not be able to see the ASA profile from the 5x. Or if you set it to the 5pro in orca you won't be able to wifi print because it thinks your looking for the 5pro.

Can you elaborate on the TPU? I saw that as a selling point when this one first got announced but I haven't heard anything else since and I really would love a machine that can do TPU prints with PLA supports.

I really like using my flashforge 5M but my goodness if I had a multicolor extruder on it, it would make all my prints way easier to do
