My bet is that after Volkswagen plant closures in Germany, BMW or Mercedes-Benz will be next on the chopping board, we'll see.

Hers my oponion as a consumer & a mechanic, build better quality cars.. thats the only reason why no ones buying VW's...Audis or whaterver..

Even customers who own em is trying to get rid of before warranty expires... & determined to never buy another..

Most ppl prefer toyota / honda non electric solely because they are reliable..

The first sign of Germany decline was the lost of cheap energy for their industries. All thanks to US for blowing up the Nord Stream pipeline. Everyone already saw it except Germans. 😂

VW enjoyed 30 years ride in China as the leading car manufacturer. On good years they can sell over 2 millions vehicles there. They didn't spend effort to convert some of the profit to technology advance. China is the biggest market, the biggest producer, and biggest innovation center for car industry in the past 10 years and how could VW missed that entirely?

VW is fishing for gov bailouts. German election just around the corner, hence no surprise about the outcome. Will bailout money turn around VW, remains to be seen. Expect the other german automakers demanding for the same.

Thank you Elon Musk for helping make this possible. Seeing the arrogant Germans in such chaos is quite funny to witness. Oh if they had only listened to Herbert Diess. The Chinese were smart to follow Tesla's lead. The Europeans are now getting their just dessert. 😄
