I like the bird one. I've actually thought of making sympathy cards with a cardinal.
These are the hardest cards for me to make. 1st, this occasion is almost always unexpected. Especially if its someone you are also grieving. I tend to buy sympathy cards rather than making them. When I do make them I use Black and white, black and gold or all white with a black or gold sentiment. These are my go-tos for weddings also. Now I'm at an age where I go to more funerals than weddings I keep saying I'll pre-make these cards.

Thank you for sharing your process & tips on this subject! Sympathy cards can be challenging to make, but are some of the most important & meaningful. I always gravitate to using black &/or florals, as those are common American symbols of grief, so I appreciate the alternate viewpoint of using shades of white & other motifs, like the bird.
