I dislike self-promoting expertise like this. The leading scholars and active experts in reading body language have all said that this is a subjective field requiring a lot of study into the context of the "tells" a person subconsciously reveals. None of them have been comfortable with being called "lie detectors". Now, that being said, what may appear to be strong to one could just as easily be seen as asserting dominance. The expert is not considering this context of wanting to make people see him as the "alpha" in the room. Isn't this what so many people see without all of the training when they say he is a bully? Further, the "cymbal crash" as she calls it could just as easily be interpreted as confusion, where you have been coached to "basketball steeple" but you got lost on your point or knew you were being dishonest and then implode the coached gesture. If we were to follow the "lie detector's" assumptions about his lack of doubt, then follow with the context of how the fact-checkers have spotted so many false claims from him, another picture emerges. One who is so seriously out of step with facts that he believes what is actually not true, or someone who will lie about the facts without the moral compunction to give off "tells" for dishonesty.

People like this woman throw science in garbage. Body language is an accessory, you use it with your instinct and your experience, not alone.

To me, when I see people turn their whole body/torso suggests a possible muscular- skeletal impairment somewhere in the shoulder girth. I've seen this in orthopedic rehabilitation patients who have had some sort of injury or osteo degeneration through the cervical or thoracic vertebrae.
