Police identify off-duty Federal Way officer shot in Puyallup, suspects at large

An off-duty Federal Way police officer was shot Sunday during a morning run in Puyallup. He was trying to stop a commercial burglary at Jennings Equipment, according to police.

The officer, identified as Donovan Heavener, was shot in the abdomen and taken to the hospital with severe injuries. He underwent surgery and is expected to survive.

Hay let's not IGNORE THEE OBVIOUS HERE PEOPLE! I am going to go out on a limb & say that because the reporters have stated that this officer was off duty out for a jog on his day off that more than likely he was not wearing his uniform! Sure a man was allegedly shot & if true this is a problem, it is a violent crime & those responsible need to meet their judge & jury! however a cop was not purposely targeted unless he was jogging in his uniform a long distance away from where he patrols at on his day off! Once again I'm out on the limb & I am going to say he wasn't!!! 🍎🍎🍎
